Tumwater High School is turning 50 years old and the school and alumni have a weekend celebration planned next month.
The centerpiece of the festivities is the Tumwater vs. Chehalis football game at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16. A chili feed and halftime celebration will honor pay tribute to 50 years of Thunderbird pride.
A car show, fun run, golf tournament, tours and displays are also on tap.

Tumwater High School is turning 50 and the school and alumni have a weekend of celebration planned.
The centerpiece will be Tumwater vs. Chehalis football game on the 16th at 7 p.m. pre-game chili bowl dinner and half-time alumni events. Tumwater is the defending 2A state champions.
A car show, fun run, golf tournament, tours and displays are also on tap.
